Mimi Rana Contemporary, Jazz and Acro Instructor

Mimi Rana, who has trained for over 15 years in numerous styles of dance in the Bay Area, grew up to be a competitive dancer at the age of 10. She has won numerous titles in the bay area, earning scholarships from Joffreys, SAB, AMDA, and Alvin Ailey. She had the opportunity to work with award-winning faculties as an assistant through conventions as well as training, taking master classes from choreographers from around the world at her young age, traveling to Japan and Korea. Mimi had decided to pursue dance in the entertainment industry in LA after high school. She has taken numerous classes and attended AMDA Summer Workshops and Gigs in the Talent Agency and has worked in the dance and entertainment industry on and off for 5 years. I decided to go back to the Bay Area to finish college and pursue teaching. Mimi received her Associate in Human Development and Marketing and continued to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development with a Minor in Dance. Mimi is an experienced dance instructor who has taught and choreographed at many studios and schools around the San Francisco Bay Area. Our choreography can be described as fresh and energetic and is sure to encourage strength, power, and style in our dancers. Mimi’s choreography has earned her numerous awards with students that she has worked with in studios. . Mimi has been experienced with coaching/Mentoring high school and collegiate teams for almost 9 years currently working as a freelance choreographer in SF Bay Area and LA.. Mimi still consults dancers that are pursuing dance as a professional career or preparing for a lifelong dream. Her professional credits include Semi-Pro Dance Team Bombshells Girls and Liberty Belles, Halftime Show Santa Cruz Warriors, and Mission in the Mix in the South Bay area.
